Pretty clever, 4/5.

squidly responds:

Dang it, I'm 1/5 clever off my target goal.

I wouldn't want to learn anything about AS3.0 from this.

vSmashv responds:

teuche' lol

Cool idea, I like the little sound effects. did you use Sfxer for them?

needs more situations, also many of them are subjective...such as: zombies invaded my backyard=BRING IT ON BITCHES OH HELL YEAH
or....I just received a large shipment of bacon=Oh man, that's a bummer did you know pigs are smarter than dogs? who's going to pay for all this bacon?!

Chaoclypse responds:

Close! I used bfxr, which is an update of sfxr. I highly recommend it.

Not bad...I like the simple approach for gfx, sounds are not bad either.

Pro's:
-great selection of things to build
-interesting units
-straightforward approach

Con's:
-turrets seem to be useless
-enemy builds faster than player
-randomly "can't build there" when trying to build

hazzard77 responds:

Hi, thanks for your review. Those turrets seem "useless" - although they are stationary, they do have a higher ratio of HP:Price and DPS:Price than the other units. The AI follows the same rules as the player so I'm not sure as to why it seems to build faster. The "Can't build here" message is to notify you if any of the tiles that you're trying to build on is already occupied.

Pretty cool, I remember there was another game just like this where you had to balance upgrades with supply/demand and compete against another restaraunt. I don't want to say that you plagarized or anything, so instead I will just suggest that you carry on with something more unique in the future.

I think you could fix a couple of things like blacking out the levels player has completed, I think there's a certain psychology in "LEVEL COMPLETED" that makes aplayer feel satisfied with his achievements in the game. Also, I understand I can't upgrade the restaurant with customers inside, but I also can't do it when they're in the opponents restaurant or on the screen at all? Hmmm...

Overall I think the game is a little cramped and could use some more unique features than the other one i had mentioned.

Krisantus responds:

thanks

I like it. Pretty cool for a quick little flash thing. I like the drawings and I also like the simplicity. Probably could use a little more detail in the instructions, though.

apple-fish responds:

Thank you :)

I think it really needs a walkthrough.

Kwing responds:

This isn't as complex of a game as Johnny Rocketfingers or Inculcation; there are no inventories. You just click and explore with the mouse, and the journal pages are hidden in a random location every time.

NO THOUGHT

MiniProductions responds:

OMG You found one! :D

Loved the graphics and the newspaper that gives updates, very interesting! But also, I hate the problems with the trains themselves. Building the railroad is simple enough, but trains just keep coming whenever they feel like it, often crashing into each other at the stations because of it.
Honestly, that kinda stresses me out, and I think many people play these games because they are relaxing and rewarding in their own way.
Love the idea, just think there isn't enough control over how many trains you have running between cities, so there is no way to successfully get the trains running and peacefully sit back and watch them carry freight and whatnot.

flazm responds:

Thanks for your feedback. Actually this sequel is much more relaxing and casual then original Railway Valley game. But making the game more easy and relaxing can kill the challenge.
Thank you for playing!

I really like the concept, and a few of the different elements. I like that you can shoot money for a multiplier. What I don't like is that if I touch a box with my horse, I die instantly. That sucks. I also don't like that I have to WAIT to reload...which while it does add a certain challenge is a bit frustrating. Awesome gfx, though, really pulls it all together. Love the music, and the fairly-novel controls.

Just needs more time invested into it I think.

royalin responds:

Hi, glad you like the game. Regarding your comments- Like most games with upgrades, you start off weak, but after 1-2 runs you can purchase health so you won't die after 1 touch, you can also upgrade shooting reload and whatever you want :)
Regarding controls it pretty straight- forward and fun, at least according to us and our testers, do you have a better idea?
Thanks in advance!
