Firstly, I love that the game loads very quickly. The confusing graphics work a lot to the games advantage. The crappy keys, the really bizarre character. I love it. The levels are actually well-planned. I will say the sound effects are less than enthusiastic. The atmosphere could have been stronger.

So...Out of 10....

GFX - 8 (sheer eccentricity)
SFX - 3 (missing music)
DESIGN - 8 (clever and thoughtful)
GAMEPLAY - 6 (basic but effective)

OVERALL.....

This game has too low a rating. It's a basic, but effective, puzzling platformer. Keep it up! And "Remember, don't tell anyone about this!"

angryoscah responds:

Thanks! For me, it was crucial to keep the game efficient, so anyone can play the game and don't have to wait long. The main character is truly bizarre:D. It's great to hear that you liked the level design because this was my first time I have designed levels for a platformer. Maybe the game could have used more music, but I thought the sound of wind and silence sometimes is more powerful on some levels. That reference made my day :) Thanks for the feedback!

The reset button doesn't appear to work.....

Arg410 responds:

Yup this is a R bug, I explained in other comments :)

A fantastic journey through medieval times starring adorable animals! The level of detail in graphics is great, it's a lot of fun to watch critters show up and interact with the stores. All your favorite aspects of the Tycoon genre are here, in a tightly-knit lunch-break style package. The music is engaging and familiar, options are what you'd want (graphics toggles, volume control), and an ongoing list of missions keeps you engaged.

Out of 10....

GFX - 9 (full animations, great details, retro feel)
SFX - 8 (familiar soundtrack, good effects quality)
DESIGN - 9 (Clever expansion on the Shop Tycoon formula)
GAMEPLAY - 8 (Familiar, but fresh)
VALUE - 8 (may not run well on low-end hardware, but hours of fun)

Overall, it's another sequel to the Shop Tycoon franchise we've seen from LittleGiantWorld. It expands on the concept and design, in almost every way. It's definitely the next step for this series!

LittleGiantWorld responds:

thank you, have a great day :)

It's pretty rad for a basic Sandbox sim. I really like that it uses physics and reacts in unexpected ways. The inclusion of a reset button would have been the cherry on top, and perhaps some sound effects and a quick loop.

out of 10...
GFX - 6 (good splatters, but choppy text)
SFX - 0 (No audio?!)
DESIGN - 5 (thoughtful level, but without features)
GAMEPLAY - 6 (Good for a couple minutes)
VALUE - 5 (worth checking out)

Overall, this toy is only just okay. It lacks features, but possesses ambitious potential. Nevermind haters, they're just unhappy with themselves and take it out wherever possible. Integrity shines through on this sandbox toy.

erresome responds:

Thanks for such a big review! O_O
I will release pretty huge update soon. It will contain RESET BUTTON, blood colors, movable objects (Phys too), bigger level, sounds and background melody!
Also I think to work together with "There she is!!!" movie creator, to make a game based on this story, so maybe future updates will be a bit slow in release.
(Sorry for bad ENG)

I love the retro theme, i like the concept, the whole thing opens really strong. I really don't enjoy the mid/end-game, for me this was around 80 games, and i believe it's designed as the end but so far it's taken easily 5x as long as the opening.

One of my favorite things here is that there is a really fleshed-out, minimal GUI that just feels nice while you play. I like the handful of special FX, also. I didn't bother with sound until my review, but when i finally checked it out I was shocked there wasn't ANY. Still, not that big of a loss there.

The upgrades feel unbalanced at times, as though the game struggles to keep up. However, I like the option to "ascend" and sell the company in return for a "game guru", that's a neat idea, but unfortunately I doubt there will be much replay found here, but it is there if someone loved the game that much.

Out of 10....

GFX - 7.5 (serviceable and stylish)
SFX - 0 (None?!)
Design - 6.5 (full but dull)
Gameplay - 5 (loses steam quickly, nothing too fresh)

Overall, I wish I hadn't gotten sucked into it for as long as I did. It's fun if you have time to spare, but you know what they say about time being money, I reckon the average player might enjoy this, but more hardcore Players may wish to save their time.

Blobzone responds:

Hey, thanks for the insightful review. Well, i agree with you in all points.

The GUI (as in all my games) was what i am capable of. You see, im not a very good artist, so there was no real intention of making the GUI and FX in a special kind of way. Still glad you liked it.

To the game itself. Yes, you are basically true. There is not to much content, but as long there are people enjoying it, its fine.

To be honest the main purpose of making this game, was to create the fancy random game name function. Even makes me chuckle from time to time.

What i dont get. Why do so many people miss sounds? I mean its an idle game afterall and a lot of times when i have music in games people seem to be rather annoyed by my choice of songs. But nevermind. Next time i will add some fancy Justin Bieber song :3

Thanks for playing!

After 30 minutes of fiddling, I resorted to using Joy2Key to translate my gamepad into keystrokes. I'm glad I did, even though the game left me kind of bleary. It was a fun, but unexpectedly short, and unique tribute game.

I REALLY didn't enjoy the EXTREME clausterphobia, I get it but still. Ouch! All the people who are complaining about small game window size need to learn how to use their browsers zoom feature. I zoomed it up to fill the screen, and ended up like I said using J2K to play it with my old-timey PS2 dualshock through an adapter (duh).

Mostly I was suprised by how suddenly the game cuts off after you fight er....Sauron?

Oh well, still a blast and some really good visuals, i was less upset the more and more fun I had. Something about it! I would definitely encourage a sequel, bigger & longer & uncut.

Wolod responds:

Thanks a lot! I'll consider making a post-jam version with normal resolution (and perhaps some additional features such as a minimap).

Cute concept, but overall falls flat. How LAZY do you have to be to too damned to write "Mouse.show()" before plopping this onto NG?

NathanSizemore responds:

It wasn't about laziness, but more so about the fact that the game IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED AS TOUCH SCREEN (as stated in the description). As the creator, I decided to leave it as a touch screen game, 100%. Apologies that the toddler game didn't appeal to you enough.
