Not bad, but pretty overrated. Let's see...could really use a counter, and a hi-score table. Also, in spite of the potential for you to be really negative here and diss everybody for being stupid or something, you just made something that's pretty funny but barely a game.
In addition, perhaps the graphics should be less obnoxious. Or more so, not sure. Either way, it's true Newgrounds style and that much I like. Additionally, the length of audio here, particularly on the winner screen, is kinda dumb. Nobody is gonna sit through the entirety of "We Are The Champions" that you added.

gfx - 6 (cute animation for the idling character
sfx - 3.5 (somewhat funny, but kills filesize)
design - 5.5 (funny idea, but not really a game)
gameplay - 2.5 (pointless without hi-scores)

overall, I think this is definitely a work in progress and cannot wait to see you "improve upon" it, what? 3 years later.

A simple idea with basic graphics and excellent mechanics. I love the challenge you pose in the description "will you let his spark fizzle out?". That actually made me feel bad and want to help Sparky.
One thing that I think sets this game apart is the menu design. It's very smooth, the presentation is fun, and it seems to encourage a kind of fanaticism. I played until level 8, but wish I had more time to experience this great game.
The controls are great, very simple stuff, no weird rules or mechanics at play. Just click and drag. Reminds me of those old coat-hanger mazes we used to make in school and crap.

gfx - 9 (great electric parts, cool menus)
sfx - N/A (regrettably I have no soundcard)
design - 9.5 (addicting in its simplicity)
gameplay - 8.5 (very challenging, maybe not enough obstacles?)

overall, this is a really good game that makes me jealous. Unsure of how you came to settle on the unique look of the menus; marvelous!
It may be, however, that many players are not seeking such a mighty challenge and therefor will give up before long. However, this game is nothing but positive and it's totally Favorited.

Pretty cute idea overall, but could use more upgrades. I like the graphics, because they work well in this case, but ordinarily they would probably fall flat. I like the story, it's simple and sweet. Gives the croc some real motivation and makes the player want to care a little more.

gfx - 7.5 (graphics seems to push their luck but maintain)
sfx - N/A (I have no soundcard, but imagine banjo music)
design - 8 (great controls, interesting dynamics)
gameplay - 8 (fun to play, player could run faster)

overall, this is a great game at heart that many may try to blam on account of it's lower-end graphics. I think this definitely needs a sequel!

A boring idea carried through to surely drive even the most uninteresting to tears. First, ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMATIONS. Second, this is a very boring idea. usually when people make games out of boring ideas, like rock-paper-scissors, they try to add something very special to it. I could go outside and play this game with my dog.

gfx - 6 (vibrant maybe, but slick no)
sfx - N/A (I have no soundcard)
design - 2 (poor idea executed without grace)
gameplay - 0.5 (feels more like menu's than a game)

overall, this was a terrible idea and I wish you would have pursued something more interesting with your time. People will probably put you down a lot in the reviews, but don't be discouraged by our hyper-critical commentary. Keep making games!

Not a bad game, just needs a little more OOMPH! No, not OOP. Oomph! Some real style, because as it is most people will look at it as a Geometry Wars clone. Some really good elements like particle effects, neon lighting, satisfying upgrades, and large numbers of enemies onscreen. Yet, something seems lacking.

gfx - 7 (nothing too unique, but gets the job done)
sfx - N/A (I have no soundcard)
design - 7.5 (it's apparant you took some thought into this)
gameplay - 5 (pretty bland, overall)

overall, this is a very cut-and-dry game in its genre and could really stand for something to set it apart from the countless others like it.

I played until I got to the self-depreciating level where you said you suck at programming. I was kinda like "well, if that's the way you feel then fuck it!"

out of 10...
gfx - 4 (bland, basic shapes without any effects)
sfx - N/A (I have no soundcard)
design - 6 (not bad, just too frustrating)
gameplay - 2 (relies on twitch-mechanics instead of logic or even physics)

overall, this game has some shining points. Maintaining a monologue with the player is one of them. However, due things like a TERRIBLE FRAMERATE and A TERRIBLE FRAMERATE and a TERRIBLE FRAMERATE.....this game will probably not do so hot and go largely unnoticed.

Ok look. Me and my friend literally JUST started programming like, 5 days ago... and this is our very first game EVER. But, we will make more updates with epic stuff added. The music is just an 8-bit soundtrack made by my friend. The laggy framerate MIGHT be your flash player or computer, because me and my friend have no problem with the framerate when we play. Anyway, thanks for rating and if you keep looking for updates, this might have awesome features and more levels added.

No story to explain exactly which planet I'm defending and why, also a very ugly title screen. Seriously, you know what they say about first impressions...also, the enemies are WAY too difficult for having no powerups or upgrades.

out of 10...
gfx - 6 (decent sprites, terrible title screen)
sfx - N/A (I have no soundcard)
design - 5 (poor planning and only the most basic of working theory)
gameplay - 4 (no real challenge, lacks upgrades)

overall, this game is a real snooze fest with nothing really to offer. I like some of the graphics, but there just isn't enough of anything to keep player's interest for long.

Pretty good! I like the ability to submit a highscore. However, this game seems to induce that "guitar hero" effect where you look away and everything is all wiggly. Maybe that should be a warning in the game or something if people are sensitive to those kinds of things...wouldn't want people getting motion sickness from a typing game, haha.

out of 10...
gfx -6.5 (plain, but not obtrusive or ugly)
sfx - 5 (could have used some music, but maybe not)
design - 8.5 (great design, challenging in the appropriate doses)
gameplay - 9.5 (for a typing game, very engaging)

overall, this is a basic but fun game that could offer hours of typing practice. I think it could have used some more dynamic graphics in the backgrounds or something, and a larger dictionary.

First, no preloader...makes you lose like half your ratings, views, and reviews. Would have been cooler if there was some balance in the combat, but there really isn't! Big enemies hurt you lots, no avoiding it. Very gory, which is pretty cool for this type of game. Also, WASD doesn't work. It's the arrows....bomb is sort of useful....sort of...and what's up with the super-blurry background?

out of 10...

gfx - 7 (ripped sprites, but cool blood fx)
sfx - 3 (dull song, poor sfx quality)
design - 4 (not much here, poor balances)
gameplay - 5 (weak attacks, not much room to move)

overall, this really needs some more work. I think it'll pass judgement...but not with a high score. But it could! Just work on some things...

Thank you for your review!

I made this game about a year ago in 2 days. i've always seen it as a proof of concept for a full game.

Very cool atmosphere, I love the crowd wandering around in the shopping district. I like the combat, but it could sure use some tweaks. It is very annoying to swing at an enemy four or five time then find yourself at his backside. That, combined with the slight delay required to let all animations play out make for somewhat frustrating battles.

This whole game reminds me of the Hercules Arena from Kingdom Hearts, which was one of my favorite parts of that game! The way characters are engaged in different activities in the bg/fg really helps breathe life into this game.

I really didn't like that spells are so hard to aim. You should build a quick targetting system for them, otherwise they seem pretty much almost useless.

out of 10...
gfx - 9 (killer effects, especially lighting)
sfx - 9.5 (good music, cool sfx, good quality)
design - 9 (great concepts come together for an immersive experience)
gameplay - 7.5 (pretty fun, but needs some tweaks)

overall, this is a brilliant concept with great atmosphere and excellent graphics that only suffers from reaction-speed delays in combat and lack of great functionality in attacks.
