[J. Rocketfingers 3: Struggle]

can you tell us what will be different about JRF3? How are you unable to work on this AT ALL, without "monetary funds"? The first two were done in Flash, in your spare time....without the lure of "thousands of dollars". They were still classic, tons of fun.

So what? You are trying to quit your job, to do this full-time? Then what, you will upload here to Newgrounds and make pennies on the dollar....or are you gonna be another Super Meatboy sellout? Gonna do some documentary about making "indie games" and conveniently leaving out Newgrounds like they did?

I think this is a critical thing to say to you, you're practically back from the grave on this one and I respect the hell out you. This is intimidating for me to say to someone like you.

And still I question your motivation and integrity.

Games this detailed, fully animated and involved cannot be made for free, PoisonHeart. They require a professional team of artists and programmers that require full time salaries. My motive is to create the most enthralling and insane adventure game ever made.

i love this! i love the cat, and the rest of the characters are great too. i love Nana Teisen in the background.....my only problem is the ninjas! they have great costumes, but they look weird! the colors are really too primary....and they've got too long arms...haha, still good stuff.

the reality is that I wanted to simulate a fish perspective or something like that, that's why they are long arms of the ninja.
that primary weird yellow color in the line-art its for the light i need to change that

the perspective is my weakness i need more practice in that area [hoarsely of batman almost dying on the floor]

this is great, looks like downtown Somewhere, China in 20+ years. Only problem to me is that the streets seem a little underpopulated... I definitely get the cramped city vibe, but not from the people themselves. I like that the two foremost crossing the street appear to be looking into the camera....but again, this reminds me of a much smaller city than what the architecture and advertising themes seem to accomodate, here.

Looking again, I see that there are maybe a few dozen people visible the farther back you go, but they just strike me as scenery....I like the guys on the corner outside Milan Station dpt. store, they look suspicious but diverse....adds great character to the scene, but the other people blend in TOO well....know what I mean? And the traffic seems pretty luxurious if this is downtown HK!

Yeah the general problem with this is that the first matte painting was done in like 20 minutes, I was pumping them out so I really didn't plan this as well as I should have. I know it isn't any excuse, but I wanted to show a massive over-arching new city on top of the 'old' city, but without the cliche 'old city is crumbling' kind of setting, if that makes sense.

Hehe, it's this Pokemon fusion art meme thing. Found out about it on Reddit about a week ago.
You can google 'Pokemon Fusions' and make some for yourself - they're really hard NOT to draw.
