It isn't bad...but y'know...it's a stick figure holding what looks like a big metal cheese-grating condom. I think the low colors don't help here...the sword doesn't appear to be metal. Honestly, looks too organic, and the shape combined with that immediately link and the first thing I think after reading your description is "cheese-grating condom"....sorry, dude!
A really badass idea for a weapon, though.
