I think that the programming here is very solid, but the controls make me cringe and are somewhat disorienting. That may put off a lot of players. Great song choice, though. Good use of colors and convincing design of 3-D space.

out of 10...
gfx - 8 (yes, it's basic but easy on the eyes)
sfx - 10 (perfect song choice)
design - 8 (killer programming, good 3D space)
gameplay - 5 (confusing controls for casual gamers)

overall, I think that your programming shows a lot of promise but the controls are too unwieldy for me and after 5 minutes of playing I gave up.

About the programming, it took me waaay more hours of coding than I originally intended to do :)

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a preloader and the filesize is really large for a game of this variety. It is essentially the same as "Spank the Monkey" from the early days of Flash gaming. Funny caricatures, however.

out of 10...
gfx - 9 (great comedy-appeal)
sfx - 8 (rockin' song and funny sfx)
design - 4 (outdated and huge filesize)
gameplay - 5 (very dated and not much here)

overall, this game could use some optimization and something to set it apart from the gameplay of "Spank the Monkey".

Pretty simple game with some neat additions, like the variety of enemies and health system. However, I thought it was too easy (beaten in one try), and that some of the upgrades like the magnet could have been stronger or lasted longer. Also, there isn't really a good sense of speed here, considering that he is falling through space.

gfx - 7.5 (good, but player character is somewhat twitchy)
sfx - 4 (fairly boring ambient sound and sfx)
design - 6.5 (interesting design, but somewhat slow in pacing)
gameplay - 5 (too easy, no feeling of speed)

overall, this game is interesting and funny but somewhat slow. I think most people will probably play it all the way through, though.

I think the idea is very solid and that the 8-bit style works very well here. However, these kind of "one-button" games put me off due to the wear on my keyboard that they encourage. I like the variety of events to choose from, however.

gfx - 8 (8-bit style works well here)
sfx - 0 (no sound?!)
design - 7 (somewhat excessive difficulty options)
gameplay - 5 (too much of a keyboard buster)

overall, I think this is a good enough game that could have relied on different controls in a way that wouldn't put my hardware at risk.

Pretty good game, but I think some of the interface and collision detection could use some tweaks. For example: the pumpkins seem to hit the hand too soon and may be a bit too difficult to kill. I really like the look of the backdrop and the skeletons, how they upgrade to umbrellas and whatnot. However, there appears to be no health-bar. I really like the concept, though...I think it's a cool idea to drop your "weapon" on the baddies.

gfx - 8 (cool skeletons)
sfx - 6.5 (somewhat plain sound fx and music)
design - 7 (nice upgrades but confusing interface)
gameplay - 6 (fun enough at first, gets dull quick)

overall, this is a great Halloween game with some really cool elements that may put players off due to somewhat confusing presentation.

Great grade of increasing difficulty and good "edutainment" game. I think that many will be tricked into not realizing this is actually a learning game, but I think that it's most effective application would be in a classroom. It is timely enough for Halloween, and any savvy science or math teacher should try it with their class.

gfx - 7 (workable, but not great)
sfx - 9.5 (cool song, reminds me of Dawn of the Dead)
design - 8 (solid, but nothing we haven't seen already)
gameplay - 8.5 (very good, made me want to keep playing)

overall, this is a good game where the objects have a good weight to them and the addition of a rotation buttons makes for more dynamic gameplay.

Really cool animations and character designs! I think that in spite of the demonic theme, there is something whimsical about this game.

gfx - 9.5 (great character designs)
sfx - 9 (eerie music)
design - 8.5 (reminiscent of Metroid)
gameplay - 7.5 (solid programming, piques curiosity)

overall, I think this is a very awesome platformer with many solid elements. Good programming combined with sharp, interesting characters makes for a very good game here.

Adorable game, with sweet characters and soft colors. Only concern is that the energy meter may be somewhat too quick for little ones. However, given the large number of shots per level, I think that it may balance out. Very charming and relaxing game.

gfx - 9 (soft and simple, clean and friendly)
sfx - 8.5 (good score, sheep sound is mildly annoying)
design - 8.5 (a great game for small ones, probably ports well to mobile)
gameplay - 8 (better aimed at a younger audience)

overall, I think this is a great family-friendly game that parents could download to their mobile device and let the kiddo's play when they get bored on car trips or something. Very charming with soft shapes and colors.

Hmmm....too difficult for my fragile keyboard, yo.

I have to say that this is the most advanced 3D I've seen in a flash game in a long time. However, due to poor controls, interface, and numerous glitches and bugs I was almost immediately turned off.

out of 10...
gfx - 7.5 (great, but many weird glitches)
sfx - N/A (I have no soundcard)
design - 6.5 (relatively boring interface, many bugs)
gameplay - 3.5 (loose controls and boring battles)

overall, this definitely needs a lot of wrok but the 3D engine here is very interesting and I wish you luck on future projects!
